The ICIAM/CICIAM Maxwell Prize
Call for NominatonsThe ICIAM Maxwell Prize is funded by the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (IMA) and the Maxwell Foundation, has been established to provide international recognition to a mathematician who has demonatrated originality in applied mathematics.
The Maxwell Prize recognizes a specific body of work of demonstrable originality.
There is no restriction of age. The recepient can be a senior, middle, or junior person. The focus is on the specific body of work and its originality. The first Maxwell prize was awarded at ICIAM99 in Edinburgh.
For the 2003 ICIAM Congress, held in Sydney, the name of the prize was changed to the ICIAM Maxwell Prize, after the Council changed its name from CICIAM to ICIAM.
